Halloween Dance and costume day
- When
- 30 October 2026
- Where
- Blessed Trinity Catholic School
Students may come to school in a Halloween costume, or in orange and black. The 18 October update called the dance the parent council's annual fundraiser; the 25 October update says the Student Council and student leaders organised it.
Times, from the 25 October update
- Halloween parade in the school yard, Kindergarten to Grade 3/4 only: 9:05 a.m.
- Kindergarten: 9:20 to 9:50 a.m.
- Grades 1 to 3: 10:00 to 10:35 a.m.
- Grade 3/4 to Grade 6: 11:00 to 11:45 a.m.
- Grades 7 and 8: 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.
Costume rules
- School-appropriate, neat and clean, in keeping with a Catholic school. No culturally offensive costumes or stereotypes.
- No masks, and no knives, axes, guns or other weapon props.
- Your child must be able to use the bathroom on their own all day.
- Outdoor learning carries on, so they need to be able to move around outside in it.
- The school asks families not to phone about forgotten, damaged or dirty costumes.
Food. Students must not hand out food. Small non-food items such as pencils or erasers are allowed. The Grade 8 class sells nut-free candy bags and chips outside the gym during the dances to raise money for graduation.
Halloween photo booth. Also for the Grade 8 graduation fund: Student Council leaders take orders for Halloween Polaroid photos in classrooms on Monday 26 and Tuesday 27 October, at $1 a photo — so a child who wants one needs a dollar on one of those days. In the days after Halloween, any treats in your child's lunch must be clearly nut-free.
Boo-Grams ordered from the council are handed out in class the same day.
